Growing Into Our Brand
The Story Behind Our Brand Refresh

This year, CampusGenius turned five, and it felt like the right time to take a good look at ourselves, assess how we present our company and our products, and think about where we are headed.

We’ve grown a lot since we first spun out of TU Dresden. Our old website and branding did the job, but they didn’t really show who we are now, or where we’re heading next, and we felt like we had outgrown them. As we’ve expanded and grown, we needed our online presence to reflect the quality and expertise we bring to every project. The old site served us well in our early days, but it wasn’t doing justice to the sophisticated solutions we’re delivering now. Our primary goal was simply to professionalise – we didn’t want to lose who we are at our core (see what I did there?), but we did want to prepare our website and our image for growth.

After many meetings, discussions and designs, we made a few changes. Our name stays the same, and so does the hexagon shape in our logo. The shape is a nod to the network planning diagrams behind every mobile connection, and it also has an abstract  ‘C’ and a ‘G’. These are small details, but we wanted our logo to tell a story about who we are, and what we do.

One of the biggest questions we wrestled with was whether to keep our name. We’d noticed that in overseas markets, ‘Campus’ sometimes led people to think we only worked with universities or education. We seriously considered dropping it, but ultimately decided that as 5G campus networks become more widely understood, this confusion is happening less often. Plus, we didn’t want to completely overhaul a brand we’ve spent five years building.

What’s new is our look and feel. We want this refresh to help us connect with more international customers and position ourselves as the professional experts we’ve become. It’s about meeting potential partners with confidence, be that at trade shows in Germany or on the global stage.

The new website makes it simpler to see what we do, what private 5G means in practice, and how the GeniusCore works across different industries and use cases. The biggest change is our new Solutions section. Instead of just listing a few industries we work with, we now showcase eight detailed use cases with real-world applications and case studies. It’s much easier now to see exactly how private 5G works in practice, whether that’s in manufacturing, logistics, or healthcare.

We’ve also cleaned up how we talk about ourselves. The goal is the same as ever: making private 5G simple and accessible for more businesses. The new look just helps us tell that story a little better.

Big thanks to everyone who helped shape this refresh and especially to Benedikt Frommer, who helped us bring it together.

Take a look around the new site. We’d love to hear what you think.
