foodChain utilizes 5G network powered by GeniusCore
How can agriculture benefit from technological progress? This is the question addressed by the foodChain project, which aims to test the use of mobile technology with the 5G standard in agricultural crop production.
CampusGenius was chosen as provider for a private 5G network by the foodChain research project here in Germany. Together with the Leibnitz-Institute for Agriculture and Bio-Economics, Titus Research and even more partners who are investigating at least 7 different use cases in the agriculture sector. We at CampusGenius will accompany them over the next two years, providing and maintaining the 5G private network for foodChain.
The topics covered by foodChain range from field irrigation to coordinated farm machine control, of which all will require connectivity provided by a transportable 5G private network, powered by the GeniusCore and RAN hardware from our partner Nokia.
